Who is behind aKroche Climbing?
A passionate climber, deeply connected to the mountains and happy to share his love for climbing.
Based in southern Spain, I offer guided climbing and Via Ferrata in Granada adapted to all levels.
Behind aKroche Climbing is me, Mathieu, a certified climbing instructor and climbing guide based in Granada, in southern Spain.
I grew up in the Alps, where I first developed a strong connection to the mountains through skiing. After studying geotechnical and civil engineering, I quickly realised that my place was outdoors, on rock and in natural terrain. I discovered climbing a bit later in life, but it was an instant passion. A complete sport combining technique, movement and commitment, and above all a way to share experiences, progress and connect with nature.
Driven by a desire to pass on my knowledge, I earned my climbing instructor certification in Montpellier. Today, I guide both beginners and experienced climbers through sport climbing courses, multi-pitch routes, trad climbing and via ferrata experiences around Granada and across Andalusia. My approach focuses on safety, attentive teaching and adapting each session to the individual.
What inspires me most is mountain climbing and long routes, whether bolted or traditional. Granada offers an exceptional playground, with sunny cliffs, nearby high mountains and an outstanding quality of life.
